Break Dancing

Break Dance is a style of acrobatic dancing originating in the mid-1970s, often performed to hip-hop music, and characterized by intricate footwork, pantomime, spinning headstands, tumbling, and elaborate improvised virtuosic movements. In this class, we cover the fundamentals of Break Dancing and allow students to develop their own dance styles. Break Dance teaches students a new way to interact with open space and offers a variety of new movements when approaching parkour obstacles.

Who should take this class?

This class is open to everyone ages 7 and up, and levels 1 and up. This class will boost your creativity, acrobatics, strength, and overall dancing capability. No prior experience necessary.
Break Dancing and Flow class are two classes that go hand-in-hand. Taking both together will greatly improve a student's creativity, and movement vocabulary.
